Bølgene is a Norwegian watch brand, with each model named after a lighthouse along the norwegian coastline. Together with Julie Wilkinson from Makerie Studio, we developed a visual concept rooted in this maritime narrative.

The set design incorporated real nautical charts as backgrounds and slabs of larvikite – a Norwegian stone known for its shimmering texture – to reflect the rocky, weather-beaten terrain of the coastline. The lighting was carefully crafted to evoke the sweeping beam of a lighthouse, adding rhythm and direction to the still life compositions.

The result is a series of images that pays tribute to the raw, graphic beauty of the Norwegian seascape – and the quiet endurance of time itself.
